DAY 1:
DEPART THE U.S.A. IN TRANSIT
Departure from your home city area for the
flight to New York and/or Atlanta. The excitement of your safari
adventure begins the moment you arrive at the South African Airlines
counter for check-in, and board your flight for the overnight
ride to Johannesburg, South Africa.

DAY 2:
AIRPORT SUN INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL
JOHANNESBURG - SOUTH AFRICA
You arrive this morning at the Johannesburg
International Airport. You will be met and transferred to your
airport hotel for an overnight. This evening you will be treated
to a "Welcome to Africa" dinner. Overnight at the Sun
Intercontinental Hotel located outside the arrival terminal.

DAY 3:
GRAND REGENCY HOTEL
NAIROBI - KENYA
Early this morning you return to the airport
for your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Departing
mid-morning you will arrive in Nairobi during the mid-afternoon.
"Jambo" (Hello) and "Karibu" (Welcome) are
the greetings you will be receiving as you will be met by your
Driver. You will be transferred to the beautiful Grand Regency
Hotel located just minutes from the city center. The remainder
of the afternoon is at your leisure. This evening there will be
a welcome to Kenya party at the private and exclusive Summit Club
of the Grand Regency. Later you will gather for dinner at the
noted Carnivore Restaurant. M

DAY 4:
KILAGUNI LODGE
TSAVO NATIONAL PARK
Your drive this morning will take you south
into the Tsavo Game Park and
Kilaguni Lodge. Arriving in time for a scrumptious lunch, you
will marvel at the magnificent setting of this lodge where the
animals literally come to you. The open-air dining room overlooks
a scene right out of Eden, and you can sit back in comfort and
watch herds of impala, elephant, zebra come to drink at the water
hole below. This afternoon you will be visiting Mzima Springs
for your fist sightings of hippo and crocodile.

DAY 5:
KILAGUNI LODGE
TSAVO NATIONAL PARK
After a morning game drive, you will enjoy
an afternoon of leisure around the pool or just relaxing on the
verandah overlooking an ever-changing African panorama. Here at
Kilaguni, sunset and twilight are tranquil, unforgettable moments.
You will find that the stress and strains of modern-city life
are quickly forgotten.

DAY 6:
OL TUKAI LODGE
AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Early rising today for the drive to the beautiful
Amboseli Game Park located
at the foot of majestic Mount
Kilimanjaro (19,340 feet). After settling into your cabins,
enjoying lunch and perhaps a dip in the pool, you will embark
on a game drive in the late afternoon when the animals are most
active. This wildlife paradise is where Kenya's largest elephant
herds are located, as well as giraffe, hippo, buffalo, and the
plains animals such as zebra, gazelle and impala. There is also
a large amount of bird life in and around the water areas.

DAY 7:
KEEKOROK LODGE
MASAI MARA
Your flight this morning takes you first to
Nairobi where a change of planes is necessary for the flight to
Masai Mara. The flight will
take you across the Great Rift Valley and into the Mara. The Masai
Mara boasts more species of wildlife in greater concentration
than any other place on earth. It is here you will witness the
awesome migration of wildebeest and zebra as they will number
in the hundreds of thousands. The afternoon game drive will acquaint
you with this magnificent area.

DAY 8:
KEEKOROK LODGE
MASAI MARA
You will spend the entire day in the Mara
on morning and afternoon game drives. There are more lion in the
Mara than at any other game reserve in Kenya. There are also cheetah
and leopard, and a great variety of ungulates. Wildebeest, topi,
hartebeest, eland, impala, waterbuck, Grant's gazelle, Thompson's
gazelle, jackals, warthogs, striped and spotted hyena and baboon
will also be seen in abundance.

DAY 9:
LAKE NAIVASHA HOTEL
LAKE NAIVASHA
You'll have a mid-morning flight out of the
Masai Mara to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be met
and driven to the beautiful village of Karen. You will visit the
Karen Blixen Museum and afterwards take lunch while in Karen at
Utamaduni; Karen's most unique shopping area. Before departing
Karen, a visit to Giraffe Manor follows where you will have an
opportunity to eyeball the Rothschild's giraffe and even feed
them. A short drive this afternoon will bring you to the Lake
Naivasha Hotel. There should be enough daylight hours left
to enjoy some boating, fishing, or a bird-viewing walk.

DAY 10:
LION HILL LODGE
LAKE NAKURU
This morning there will be a short scenic
drive to beautiful Lake Nakuru.
Following lunch at the Lodge, an afternoon game drive will acquaint
you with this beautiful lake area. Famous for its huge flamingo
population, these waters are also home to pelicans, cormorants,
spoonbills, fish eagles, storks, ibis and herons. In addition,
there is an abundance of waterbuck, impala, Rothschild's giraffe,
eland, buffalo, warthog, lion, and leopard. The park has now become
a sanctuary for the endangered rhino having more than 50 black
and white rhino in residence.

DAY 11:
THE ARK
ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
An early morning departure for the scenic
drive through several tea farms, across an escarpment before making
a visit to Thompson's Falls. A short drive further will bring
you to the Aberdares Country Club where lunch will be served.
After lunch you will be transferred to The Ark for the overnight.
At the Ark, your evening will probably be non-stop animal watching.
Here in the mountain forest is a popular salt lick where an endless
parade of animals will come by, especially elephant and buffalo,
with an occasional visit by the elusive rhino.

DAY 12:
LARSENS CAMP
SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
It will be an early morning departure out
of the mountain forest back to the Aberdare Country Club. After
a brief stop, there will be about an hour's drive to the Nanyuki
Air Strip. You will board your flight to Samburu arriving in time
for lunch in this remote, luxurious tented camp. Samburu
is one of the smallest game reserves in all of Kenya, however
it is rich in many rare species not seen elsewhere. These include
the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, oryx, gerenuk and many
species of colorful birds. Samburu is also an area where lion,
cheetah, and leopard are spotted daily. From your tents, you can
look down upon the Uaso Nyiro River and view the abundant crocodile
population.

DAY 13:
LARSENS CAMP
SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
You will enjoy morning and afternoon game
drives. Between drives, you will be treated to a never-ending
show of elephant and waterbuck coming to the river to drink, with
baboon, monkeys and mongoose scampering through the trees and
bushes around the tents. After lunch you will have the opportunity
to watch Samburu tribesmen perform their ritualistic dances.

DAY 14:
MT KENYA SAFARI CLUB
After breakfast you will depart Samburu for
the short flight to Nanyuki. You will be met and transferred to
the beautiful Mt Kenya Safari
Club. This club is located on the slopes of Mt Kenya, a magnificent
mountain rising 17,058 feet. This luxurious club has been the
vacation site for countless movie stars and world leaders. With
its elegant rooms, beautifully landscaped grounds, and possible
the most scenic golf course on earth, it is a most welcome place
to visit at this time in your safari. There are many birds that
roam the grounds such as marabou storks, sacred ibis, peacocks
and others, literally posing for pictures. Here you will have
a chance to wash off the dust of safari life and dine in elegance.
There are many activities to keep you busy including horseback
riding, golf, tennis, or swimming. A visit to the famous animal
orphanage located on the grounds is also a must.

DAY 15:
NAIROBI/JOHANNESBURG IN TRANSIT
In the mid-morning you will return to the
Nanyuki Air Strip for the return flight to Nairobi's Wilson Airport.
You will be met and transferred to the International Airport connecting
to your South African Airlines flight departing in mid-afternoon
for the flight home. Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will have
an immediate connection for the flight to New York and/or Atlanta.

DAY 16:
NEW YORK/ATLANTA AND HOME
You arrive in New York and/or Atlanta early
this morning. The connecting flight to your home city will depart
mid-morning for an afternoon arrival in your home area.
