BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

This region of western Uganda, a days drive from Kampala, is the heart of the mountain gorilla region. This area is 115 square miles of dense rain forest which are the home to several mountain gorilla families with two being habituated for viewing by tourists. Bwindi is renowned for its physical beauty with its mountains, equatorial rainforests which offer the best of gorilla trekking and primate watching in that region of Africa.
